My Super Villain Origin Story
I've spent over 15 years immersed in quantum technology, driven by a relentless curiosity about the world at the smallest possible scale. I worked as a quantum researcher at the Georgia Tech Quantum Optics and Quantum Telecommunications Lab, later joining the University of Maryland's Joint Quantum Institute. My work continued at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Rigetti, and Bleximo, building application-specific superconducting quantum processors. I also helped Andrew Ng launch his Deep Learning Specialization, which is why I have AI papers from 2016, before it was cool.
As an investor, I back the founders building the next wave of computing, from quantum and analog to AI-native hardware. You can see where I'm placing my bets in the investments. Through Phase Change (new page coming soon!), I help deep tech companies build credibility, land investors, and position themselves as industry leaders.
At the same time, I've built a global media platform through my writing, YouTube channel, Instagram, LinkedIn, and strategic content, reshaping how the world sees deep tech, from quantum computing and AI to robotics, space, and frontier science.
I'm Vice Chair of the IEEE Quantum Computing Standards Project. I support Giga, a UNICEF-ITU initiative connecting every school in the world to the internet, and the Lawrence Hall of Science, the place my dad took me almost every week as a kid.
